Installation package terms
What an advertised installed price covers, what can change it, and how PSA confirms the final job before work begins.
These Installation Package Terms apply to supplied-and-installed work quoted under the Perth Solar & Air brand by STRATTON COLLECTIVE PTY LTD (ABN 91 641 525 402) ("PSA", "we", "us" or "our").
They are a plain-language website summary. The final written quote identifies the customer, property, equipment, price, inclusions, assumptions and payment schedule. The accepted written quote and these terms together form the project agreement. Nothing here excludes, restricts or changes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including Australian Consumer Law rights.
1. Advertised installed prices
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless clearly stated otherwise.
- A price described as "from" applies only where the stated standard-install conditions are met.
- A website price is an invitation to request a quote, not automatic acceptance of a job or a promise that every property qualifies.
- PSA confirms the final price and scope in writing after reviewing the information reasonably needed for the installation.
2. Standard split-system installation
Where a store product shows an optional standard installation price of from A$700 including GST, that add-on is not preselected and the equipment remains available supply-only. Unless the written quote says otherwise, that standard back-to-back installation assumes:
- installation of the matching indoor and outdoor units bought from PSA, normal mounting hardware, one standard wall penetration and up to 3 metres of refrigerant pipework, drain and interconnect cabling;
- single-storey, safe and unobstructed access, with the indoor and outdoor units on opposite sides of a suitable external wall;
- the outdoor unit at accessible ground level on suitable existing hardstand or the standard support arrangement stated in the quote;
- connection to a suitable compliant electrical supply, switchboard capacity, isolation and protection arrangement, as confirmed by PSA; a new circuit or switchboard work is excluded unless quoted;
- testing, commissioning, basic controller setup, operating guidance and normal work-area cleanup.
3. Solar, battery and EV installation scope
These systems are property-specific. The written quote must state the exact equipment, nominal and usable capacity where relevant, array size, inverter, mounting, electrical work, monitoring, backup scope, applications, commissioning and handover inclusions.
Network approval, export limits, battery location and clearance requirements, switchboard and phase configuration, existing-system compatibility, cable routes, roof condition and safe access can affect the design and price. No website description promises whole-home backup, a particular export level, a particular energy saving or compatibility with equipment that has not been assessed.
4. Work not included unless quoted
- extra pipe, cable or drain length; concealed or chased routes; condensate pumps; roof-space work; wall brackets, slabs or structural work not listed in the quote;
- switchboard replacement or upgrade, consumer mains work, phase conversion, meter relocation, network rectification or additional protection not listed in the quote;
- scaffolding, elevated-work equipment, trenching, traffic management, difficult access, lifting equipment or after-hours work;
- asbestos or hazardous-material testing, removal or remediation;
- painting, plastering, carpentry, landscaping, roof repairs, making-good beyond the stated scope, or removal and disposal of existing equipment unless listed;
- authority, strata, landlord or third-party charges not expressly included.
5. Site information and inspection
The customer must provide accurate access, building, electrical and existing-system information reasonably requested by PSA. Photos and remote checks may be enough for a straightforward installation; PSA may require an on-site inspection before accepting the job. If concealed, unsafe or materially different conditions are discovered, PSA will stop the affected work where reasonably necessary and discuss the options.
6. Variations and additional work
PSA will not carry out chargeable extra work without the customer's permission, except urgent work reasonably necessary to make the site safe. A proposed variation will describe the change, price effect and any timing effect. Where legislation requires a written and signed variation, that process applies before the varied work begins.
7. Rebates, certificates and finance
A price shown "after applicable rebates" assumes the customer, property, product, installation and timing satisfy the current scheme rules and that the customer completes required declarations or assignments. PSA will identify the assumed benefit in the written quote. Eligibility and funding are controlled by the relevant scheme and are not guaranteed by a website price.
If an assumed rebate, certificate value or finance approval is unavailable, PSA will provide a revised written price before the customer is bound to proceed. Finance is subject to the provider's approval and terms.
8. Availability and timing
Equipment and installation dates remain subject to supplier availability, delivery, required approvals, safe weather and site access until confirmed in writing. PSA will communicate material delays and provide the service within the agreed time or, where no time is agreed, within a reasonable time as required by law.
9. Payment
The written quote states the deposit and progress-payment schedule. Payments are due only at the stated stages. Where the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA) or another law applies, PSA will follow its requirements for deposits, advance payments and progress payments.
10. Changes and cancellation
Contact PSA promptly to request a change or cancellation. Any cancellation charge will be limited to amounts lawfully recoverable, such as work already performed and reasonable committed costs for correctly ordered, project-specific equipment. This does not limit any cancellation or remedy right available under law.
11. Workmanship, products and consumer rights
PSA will perform services with due care and skill and in accordance with applicable licensing and legal requirements. Goods and services come with consumer guarantees where the Australian Consumer Law applies. Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, those rights.
Tell PSA promptly about a concern and allow a reasonable opportunity to inspect and remedy it where appropriate. PSA remains responsible for remedies it is legally required to provide and will not require the customer to pursue a manufacturer instead.
12. Customer responsibilities
The customer must provide safe, lawful access at the agreed time; disclose known hazards; keep children and pets clear of the work area; obtain any owner, landlord or strata permission that the quote assigns to the customer; and avoid altering or energising work contrary to PSA's instructions.
13. Contact and concerns
Email sales@psawa.com.au with the property address, quote or invoice reference and a short description of the issue. PSA will review concerns in good faith and explain the proposed next step.
